Medicare,ect

At present i may be moving to Panama as early as August. However,i still would like some feedback or information on a few things from U.S. expats already settled in there.
First of all, will i need to keep medicare since i will be 65 next January?I currenty have VA health care.I haven't used that since going on it a few years ago either.I don't want to make any medicare payments if i don't really have too unless i can get reimbursed while living in Panama?
I have read that getting a Panama bank account is not all that easy also.I was wondering if i opened up a CitiBank account here in the states that might work enough for me there?
I will be investing in a small business with a good friend of mine there.I will have to rent in PTY and prefer a one bedroom in a nice neighborhood ofcourse. How are the rents there now?
