Panama Living

I am about to actually apply for my pesionado visa soon for living in Panama.However,i have heard that there are many negative aspects to living there also.Someone tried to tell me that the type of baby boomers moving there are "trailer trash" and the cost of living is now growing more.That infact that Florida is more cheaper now day's.I just would like to hear a more honest opinion and not the candy coated views that the likes of International Living is inclined to foucus on.However,i also would prefer some positive aspects on things there also.
I would be living in Panama City and would be gratefull for the opinions and no hostile ones at that.
