I was recently informed by my lawyer here in Panama City that with a new head of immigration the multi visa requirement is now being strictly enforced.So if you leave Panama without one you could be fined $2,000 on your return.That is after i applied and registered for my pensionado,ect.
I was not informed or aware of this when i left Panama in early August and returned to PTY on August 31.Nothing was mentioned upon entry at customs.However,i am still in the process of getting final approval for my pensionado.I just hope that at that time no such fine i will be subject to..Soon after my return here on 8/31/011 i received via my attorney the multi visa.I hope someone might be able to enlighten my chances of still getting this fine?
