I have recently relocated to Panama full time.I am in the process of still of waiting on my pensionado visa full approval.I also have two other concerns regarding state side personal affairs.One is i still don't quite understand the mail system in Panama.What would be the best way to get my U.S. mail forwared to me down here?I have a former neighbor in the Fort Lauderdale taking my mail for now.Also i plan to get my own medical plan in here in Panama as soon as i am approved for my permanent visa.Since i have no plans to return to the states to live in the near future i gather that Medicare or Medicare,i get them confused,will be of no use to me while living in Panama.Therefore is is my understanding that i can stop it from being deducted from my Social Security?Anyone have any information on how one can opt out from Medicare?
