Anybody who participates in this forum and who does not yet live in Panama would probably be asking this same question. We all know that there are several other places that (currently) great places to retire. So I believe I have a fair question here. I think that anybody who is looking at Panama for possible retirement also has to be looking at other countries, and Ecuador is mentioned a lot not only by the propaganda sites like IL but many other places as well. (Cuenca)
I would like to hear from other participants in this forum---what are your thoughts? Why Panama over Ecuador....or why Ecuador over Panama? I only seek an education and I know I am not the only one on the horns of this dilemma. (nor am I qualified to have an opinion about a place I have never been to). Certainly, I intend to visit both countries.
