Bringing our sailboat with us

My wife and I looking into moving to Panama early in the new year. We are in our late 40's/50's resp. so won't be coming in on the pension plan. Likely investing in real estate and/or business. We don't really understand what our options are for visa's etc. Can we just come at first as tourists and end up staying 90 or 180 days?

The second main question is about bringing our 36' sailboat. We'll likely have it trucked (from Canada) to Florida and sail it from there (we will be looking for experienced crew). Will I have to register the boat there? Duty/taxes? Will likely keep it in Bocas at least at first.

Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
