Retire on SSDI

I never planed on being "here" but almost 2 years unemployment and a. 401K crash has put me into a situation of living on a fixed income. I'm fortunate to have traveled and spent some time in Mexico and Belize and at one time felt I would like to retire in Belize but can not afford that now. Panama now seems to be more affordable. Pacific or Caribbean coasts? I'm laid back, if you know what I mean, but like some comforts as well. Point me to someplace. I can check out.
