Elderly in Panama

I want to tell about an experience I had yesterday that speaks well of the people in Panama.
First, some background for those that do not know the bus system here. Since so many people don't own cars here, the bus system is really run very well. Each bus has a driver and a door man. The door man opens the door to let people on and off and he also collects the fares.
So yesterday I was on the bus in Gorgona (a small town about an hour west of PC). We made a stop and a young man was helping an elderly woman onto the bus. She was probabaly in her 80's. The doorman immediately told the two people in the front seat to relocate themselves to the back of the bus. They did so quickly without any hesitation. Thus giving the front seat by the door to the elderly woman. Then the bus changed its route. It went down a different street then down a dirt road right to the front of a house where the elderly woman made her exit.

I think this kind of action represents the kindness of the people of Panama.
