Social Security checks

Hello Panama Expats. I’m getting ready to retire to Panama in about a year from now. That is when my social security will begin. I am hoping to get a few of my questions answered in preparation for my move.
Social security will do direct deposit to Panama. Is anyone set up for that to happen to his or her check? If so, how is it going? (I have lived in Panama before, but a long time ago when the Canal Zone was like a border line) Is there one bank better to use then another? Thanks
