Installing vonage with Cableonda

Has anyone here run into trouble getting their vonage box set up? We're using CableOnda for internet, and for some reason I cannot get Vonage to connect, and it's driving me nuts....

I have a feeling it has something to do with the cable/wireless modem CableOnda gave us, but before I bought a different one I though I'd check with the group here.
