I tried to do a reply to thread and kept getting an error code, so I'm having to repost the same subject again. I wanted to thank 802Mark for his reply. I am, however, very confused because I was told by my attorney, just 2 months ago, that a local police report would be sufficient. I sent him my husbands local report, today, and he said that just a month ago the law has changed and now requires an FBI background check only and that our local report will not work. He had been trying to get us to do a local, so it would not take as long, so we did and now it appears that they are no good. I just want to know if anyone else has been told of the law changing to an FBI background check only? We just don't want to throw these away and pay the $18.00 fee for the FBI if we don't have to. I will also be getting another opinion from at least one other attorney. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
