Found this forum by accident while searching out some unrelated info.
Have read a lot and now signed up......... I must say, this appears to be one of the most civilised forums for expats in Panama that I have found. Let's hope I can enjoy my time here and help others where I can.
My name's Rik, a 61 yr old British retiree, married to a Panamanian with a 6yr old son. We live in Penonome in a middle class neighborhood about 5 mins walk from the centre
I moved to Panama in 2004 and have lived in both the city and for the last 4 yrs in Penonome. Plenty of experience of living here on a moderate budget, thanks to the Icelandic banks stealing my life savings in 2008.
Que sera sera....... I've always been a survivor :)
Anyway.......... nice to meet you all, and anyone living in, or looking at the Penonome area I will be happy to chat, have a beer, or whatever.
