New here and am learning a bit about living in Panama. We are wildlife photographers, based in Colorado and have traveled throughout Costa Rica (we did the photos for the Oxford Press guidebook " A field Guide to the Plants of Costa Rica") and became used to the numbers of different species of monkeys seemingly everywhere. Spent 2 weeks in Panama late Sept into Oct and other than Gamboa area saw little in the way of wildlife other than birds. Love birds but am curious about monkeys and etc. in other areas. We were in El Valle, Santa Fe, Veraguas, Boquete, Volcan, Cerro Punta and the Las Lajas area. We are thinking of moving to either Costa Rica or Panama within the next year and need more time in Panama to make a better decision but the wildlife issue is important to us. Our wish is to live where there is great diversity in critters hence the question. Anybody have any thoughts?
