Appreciate the replies. what I am wondering and didn't explain it well enough is if some of you don't live in a city or town is wildlife more visible? I was surprised while in Santa Fe (stayed at Casa Mariposa.. great place to hang out) that there was so little visible, even at night. In conversation with Kevin, the owner, he thought that locals had either killed monkeys as pests or ate them.
So..... without actually living in a National Park or in areas that may be way out in the boonies (we live out there now and thats ok here) is it possible to have wildlife outside the kitchen window on a regular basis?
We do know of places like that in Costa Rica and hope to find those places in Panama as well. But wherever that place is, its gotta feel right. We loved the Gamboa area but its a tad warm for our taste to be home.
Thanks again for the responses.
