Newbie to Panama message boards here.....We are currently on a 2 year count down plan to possibly spend several months out the year in Panama. My husband recently retired from the Army. We will have a pension of around 4k/mo. From what I have read, we should be OK financially, depending on where we live and lifestyle of course. We are .hoping for a beach community. I was wondering if there are many other retired military folks in Panama? We lived in Honduras for 2 years during my husbands career, so we are familiar with living in Central America. Unfortunately, Honduras is not an option due security. We are planning a recon trip next March. We are mid 40's and want to be productive so would like to possibly open a SMALL business down there. Looking forward to gathering info from all you experts out there. One particular question I have is Bocas vs. Coronado.....??
