I don't really want to start a political debate here but only to perhaps get a feel on some of the more seasoned expats input on Panama's President Martinelli.I gather that he is a very skilled politician and powerful leader.I have read some very progressive and yet aggressive things of him also. Some say he is very corrupt and fear that eventually Panama could end up as Venezuela. That he has much control of the country now and may even change the constitution to run for re election in 2014.On the other hand he has enabled the economy to thrive and done a lot of good for the average citizens. There is a real building boom with the new subway system to open next year in P.C.,plus the huge project of improving the canal, ect. The tax system has improved so much for anyone making under $100,000 also and so on and so on.Just would like to get a little feed back on what some of you there might think of the future for actually living in Panama especially as a place for expats?
