panama affordability

hello everyone. new to the exchange. im currently still living in u.s but have been seriously considering a move to panama to try and retire young. i am still working and im a disabled vet. from which i currently recieve a monthly check of $1120. my question is this; can i realistically retire to panama and live on this amount monthly including rent? id would like to be able to live fairly close to a beach if i can. just not sure if its possible due to the various conflicting things ive read recently. any help is greatly appreciated
