I NEED: a natual bug deterent for plants. Things are munching my new sprouts and half-grown plants. Some are caterpillars that I personally squish and annihilate. Others leave webs. Some seem to be aphids. Many others subscribe to the “chomp ‘n go” method. A green-thumbed friend was able to reap six (6) !!! green beans and parceled them out for dinner. No more in the offing. We must gather and plan a strategy, but first and foremost we need AMMUNITION! She used a blendered concoction of hot peppers with a little cooking oil and water and it seemed to work but she thinks she may have diluted it too much. I used Salsa picaante jalapenos diluted with water and added vegetable oil. Strained, it clogged the sprayer. Still looking . . . Suggestions and recipes gladly accepted.
