Permanente visa

I want to get a Permanente Visa in Panama. Do I have to register a corporation there to do so? I am a retiree with more than the minimum $1000 monthly lifetime pension, but if I register for a pensioned tourist visa, I think it will never lead to citizenship and being able to get a Panamanian passport. Please enlighten me! Is the Permanente visa different?
