I first thought about Ecuador and my daughter told me I should check out Costa Rica. It's beautiful and I love it, people aren't friendly though. Now I have decided on Panama. However the more I read on the forum the more I think this isn't going to work. I might need to get some information on Europe. Perhaps the American, Canadian, European, etc. developers will stay in Latin American for a while and leave some of the other countries alone. Just about the time you find a desirable place the cost of living goes up and the poor just get poorer in those countries and then crime soars! I don't understand why they can't leave things as they were and let each individual find a place of their own. My opinion, if you want a high rise or a gated community just stay at home!
