As a foreigner here you are not represented at all and have no rights. The most low life Pana will always be given preference over a foreigner here. There is no rule of law, no functioning judicial system and everyone is on the take. In any other country that property titles were being cloned and foreign property owners were being foreclosed upon due to these cloned titles, an investigation and a public outcry would follow. Here in Panama it is different. The locals will just snicker when they hear a gringo was ripped off, after all that is the whole purpose to allow you in the country is to rob and cheat you. Pana's hate gringos but tolerate them because gringos make such good victims. A gringo can do little more here than complain and pay heavy fees to an attorney who will do nothing but rip him off also. If you are thinking about buying here don't because the title you receive is worthless!! "Don't buy into the Panama lie"
