moving questions

My husband and I are retiring in Panama. Been there many times. We have beach property in Las Lajas, Chiriqui province. Here are some questions: 1.) Can we move oak furniture to the beach or will the humidity destroy it?, 2.) Can we buy an iPad here and just change the "sim card", or should we purchase an iPad in Panama? , 3.) We've been told that metal rusts too fast. I have a metal drafting table for my art, should I leave it at home?
