Tax Question in Panama

Hi there,

I have read online that you don't get taxed on international income while you are in Panama.

I'm from New Zealand, work online, make a decent monthly income from UK/AU sources.

I am wondering if this is true about the no-tax for international income.

If I come to Panama on a Tourist visa and spend the 180 days, leave for some time and come back a few months later, and spend another 180 days ( so more than 6 months each year) would that be enough for me to be eligible for tax purposes in Costa Rica or do I have to become a resident?

My country charges high tax, so if I can live somewhere that charges no tax... I would be very happy!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Izy
