Here is a reason why you need a great lawyer in Panama. I have one, if anyone needs one..........................................................................................."My husband and I got back to USA from Panama last July after applying for our Pensionado visa, then I saw some mentions on the Internet about needing a multi entry visa. I contacted the Panamanian lawyer who was applying for our pensionado visa to ask him had he applied for our multi entry visa - he told me not to worry about it. I contacted him two more times about getting a multi entry visa as it said on the back about temporary pensionado visa that we needed one - each time he told me not to worry that the pensionados did not need the visa and those fines were not enforced. When we returned to Panama to collect out permanent visa on July 7 this year we were pulled aside and told we had a missing stamp, now we are facing a $2000 fine each. Our lawyer has been contacting people and the best offer we have so far is a total fine of 2000 for the both of us - does anybody have any suggestions on what we can do? Our lawyer is not offering to pay the fine on our behalf!
