At the present time most of the new TVs for sale here in Panama are Smart TVs. We bought Samsung Smart TV about a year ago and used it to view Netflix. After awhile apparently the software got corrupted and the TV would no longer work with Netflix. In addition the TV would repeatedly shut off and then come on by itself. We looked on the internet and discovered that many people were having this problem. They recommended to remove the WiFi card which we did. This fixed the problem with the TV shutting off and on so we bought an Apple TV to view Netflix. Apple TV has a much superior processor and memory than the Smart TV. The Apple TV costs 109.95 at Multimax so you are much better off buying a normal TV and the Apple TV to connect to the internet. Apple TV works flawlessly and has a better picture. For those of you who are not familiar with Apple TV, it is just a small box that connects to the internet and to your TV with a HDMI cable. Never again will I buy a Smart TV.
