Mountain living

In recent months I've been leaning away from moving to Costa Rica and now looking at Panama. I will make my first trip to Panama in January 2015 with the intent of visiting possible areas in which to live. I prefer living in the mountains for moderate temperatures but would like to have access to shopping for the few things I can't get locally, and being able to visit the water once in a while would be nice. I'd like a mix of expats and locals.

So far, the areas I know about are Volcán, Boquete, Santa Fe (more remote) and El Valle. Are there others that I should know about?
