Dual citizen

Hello! ... I am new to the forum so please be patient ...

I was born in Panama but only lived there as an infant for a short time. I am wishing to prospect the idea of moving to Panama from the United States I wonder if anybody has some perspective on what I would need to do as a dual citizen to establish my Panamanian credentials and identity so that I can get a Panamanian passport. Where do I begin? Where do I start? Who do I talk to? I realize I may need the facilitation of a reputable lawyer so any recommendations and tips and tricks to navigate the bureaucracy.
Any good advice is appreciated Thanks!
