I used this exchange when traveling to Panama, but only in a very limited manner. Today I am reading your comments on free speech, the right to be rude, just don't read the exchange if you don't want to hear the truth... At this very moment real tragedy unfolds worlds away from you around the ability to speak one's mind, to make statements others may deem rude or hurtful. While you bicker among yourselves you neglect to understand the worldview. You are only a tiny microcosm. Tragedy can come to Panama as easily as it has to France and the U.S. Don't take anything for granted. You live in Panama by the grace of Panamanians. I will add, in closing, that I found the US expat community members I met a rather pompous group; looking down on the rightful owners of this country; or patronizing at best. Try to put your minds to work for the greater good. Je suis Charlie. Je suis Policier. No need to respond. I've just removed myself from your exchange.
