First post and introduction

Hello Everyone,
I just signed up to the forum. I'm visiting Panama City for a couple weeks in preparation for our move here this summer. I've enjoyed it so far. It's basically what I expected but not as cheap as I read online. Food prices seem high. Gas is on par with the US. Tools and electronics are very high. Labor and services and cheaper. I'm sure when I get settled and out of the area I'm in it will get a bit cheaper. I didn't move here for prices or retirement though. I moved here because my wife was offered an opportunity with her company she couldn't pass up. I'm not sure what I'll do for work but it won't be for local wages. I'll either stay at home with the kids or open my own business. I have lots of hobbies to keep me busy if I decide to stay at home. I plan on taking a class to learn the language before coming. I'm using duo lingo now. Its free and I like it better than Rosetta Stone honestly. Very similar but better IMO. I'm going to have lots of questions moving forward. Cell phone company's, insurance, schools, and logistics in general. This seems to be the place to ask. Maybe I can return the favor after I've been here a while. Thanks for listening. Hope to see you around neighbors.
