considering retirement in David, Panama

Hello all:

Is there anyone out there that could point me in the right direction for good reliable information on the David area? I'm 43 and recently retired military from Missouri, and want to relocate somewhere very warm where I can fish year round. It appears as though David's proximity to the estuary in Pedregal and also the nearby pacific coast would have excellent opportunities.

Is it possible to live halfway decent on 3k/mo in this area?
