Mac or PC for internet access in Panama?

Are there Mac users/support groups in Panama? Or is it primarily PCs? Or does it depend on your location and perhaps the internet provider you get? We will initially be renting in the Azuero peninsula. I was looking to get a new laptop before moving and would like a Mac, but don't want to invest in one if the internet providers can't work with it.
