Renting Before You Move to Panama

It is really NOT a good idea to rent a property without seeing it first. The house could look perfect from the photos but it may not show the roosters in cages next door who make a lot of noise all day long, or the neighbor with 4 dogs who bark.

The property may not have hot water at all faucets or any faucets.

If you are in certain areas, you will only be able to get 2-3 mgb of internet speed for $130 a month. Other areas have 15 mgb for $30 a month.

Some houses are so close to the road it will sound like cars and big trucks are driving through your living room.

You really need to see the house and check it out before you rent it.

If you work with a Panamanian real estate agent you will usually get a much better price than working with a Gringo.

The property at www.ZenGardenRentals.com will be available the end of February.

A good short term weekly rental to stay while you are looking is http://boquete.ning.com/group/rental/forum/topics/small-casita-available-now
