I'm still learning how to work this site. It seems to be what I need. I hope to be relocating to Bocas del Toro in October, 2015, if not sooner. I would like to find a rental for 6 months or a year or longer for $400 - $600/month outside of town preferred. I've been told that word-of-mouth is the best way to go. Also, I have a parrot that will have the appropriate Panamanian papers when I come. Is there a store in town that would have bird food, or do most bird owners feed their birds fresh fruits and vegetables? And are cages available to buy there in town? Any help would be appreciated.
