Where to live in Panama

Hi we are hoping to visit Panama to see if we like it enough to stay. We ask for some advice on where is a good place to start. We are looking for a place with enough to do. We prefer warm not hot. We mountain bike, hike and sail.
We would like good internet if possible. We would like a strong expat community to help us adjust. Thank you for your replies.
