Living Will in Panama

At a dinner this past weekend. Conversation was about a person in a hospital in comma and connected. Bill is Huge. Family wants him to be disconnected and they have his living will properly notarized but...it was not presented @ time of registration as his wife was abroad visiting family. This is first time I heard a case like this in this country but would like to check if any of you know something about living wills in Panama. BTW, this is a Panamanian family not an expat. I cannot give name of the hospital as per Panamanian laws.
