Shipping Containers

We are looking into the process of shipping a 40' container to Panama. In our case, we will be in Panama for 6-12 months prior to shipping our household goods, so here is our plan.

1. Buy a 40' container (about $2,000) and put all our items for Panama inside

2. Store the container for 6-12 months in Atlanta in an A/C controlled warehouse

3. Ship to Boquete when we are ready

4. Either use the container for additional storage if we have space or sell it in Panama.

Has anyone else done this? Love to hear about your experience.
