Just read a thread on this site about credit card fraud and want to alert readers that it has just happened to me.
I was stunned to read its the same bank at the same location BANCO GENERAL IN CORONADO.
I put my USA debit card into the machine entered the usual stuff and asked for $500. Machine gave me nothing but a blue screen and said "could not complete the transaction and contact my bank"
I thought perhaps the amount was too much so I repeated the entire thing for $400. The exact thing happened again.
Next day on my online statement I found the bank had deducted $500 +$400 plus $4 for each so now I am out of pocket $908.
I have contacted my bank but all they say, by email, is I must fill in some forms and they will investigate. I only hope the forms can be done online as I live here.
I suggest not using this bank.
