I hope I can change the tide a bit with this post, seems there's a lot of negative stuff everywhere, so I want to learn about the positive things.
The more I meet people, the more I keep finding out about new things, along with picking my fellow Panamanian friends brains on cool places to visit. So while your working hard in the city, or living comfortably in the country, what are your weekend getaways? Or for you retired folks, getaways whenever you want (inside Panama)?
This past weekend we spontaneously drove to Soberania National Park, it was 30 minutes from the city (super close), before doing a trail a downpour started, so we drove more and ran into the Gamboa resort, such a beautiful place, we will definitely do a weekend there at some point (wife loves to hike). I walked into the main house in the entrance and met a Park Ranger who after speaking with him a while, will be our guide the next time we visit.
So feel free to share your favorite places within Panama.
