Chitre With No Water

Several sectors of Chitre, Herrera, were left without water this morning Saturday, October 31, due to maintenance work carried out on the Roberto Reyna treatment plant.
The regional director of the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) in Herrera, Leisy Cedeño, reported that they are making a technical assessment of the 400 000 gallon storage tank, with the drinking water.
Cedeño explained that the evaluation needed to empty the tank.
He added that for this reason it is working with a bypass to the distribution line during the work.
