Moving with a Keurig

Hello,
I realize this may be a sore subject, but I LOVE my Keurig coffee maker, and I do plan on using the reusable pods when I get there. My question is has anyone packed their Keurig either on a plane or shipped it? And if so, did it work once you got it there? I understand that there is no way to drain the tank of it, so traveling with it may ruin it.
