Hey Everyone.
I've been planning an exploratory trip to Panama and CR for a few months now. I've always known that an "Onwards Travel" ticket is need and that usually a bus ticket is more than enough.
However now I'm reading that a Flight Home ticket is required!
As Im not sure how long were spending in the region we didnt book flights home (To Germany).
I am a British Passport Holder and my Partner has a Russian Passport.
We arrive in San Jose on the 8th and were hoping to cross into Panama via bus on the 9th. This is seriously worrying us.
Im perfectly fine with... umm.. adjusting previous flight confirmations - will this suffice or are checks made as to the validity of the tickets?
Do these new rules mean that the idea of border runs wont work?
We were planning on spending 9 months travelling between CR and Panama to try different areas before we settle.
Any advice much appreciated.
P.S. We were hoping to go from San Jose to Bocas Del Toro with CaribeShuttle who offer a full door to door service.
