Metal Detecting for Spain Artifacts

Would anyone have information about individual metal detecting in Darien Caribbean region for Spain/Brit artifacts (coins, jewelry, etc.) along shorelines with personal underwater metal detector. What problems with TSA bringing detector on airplane, and any people or detecting clubs in Panama I can correspond with. I will be moving to Panama soon.
