Recently I retired and after having discussion with some friends and checking out information available I have started seriously considering of exploring and possibly relocating to either Costa Rica or Panama. What I have learned so far is that exploratory trips are a must and experiencing the location by staying there is important as well.
Due to inexperience with Central America I am not sure how to begin. I came across online about some agency “Panama Relocation Tours” (not sure if they do trips for Costa Rica) that organizes trips for people who consider relocating and I must say they sound very informative. On the other hand I have heard few nightmare stories about booking online with establishments you are not familiar with.
If you reside in either Costa Rica or Panama you obviously have been down this road already and perhaps you might have some suggestions/advice how to approach this adventure.
As I mentioned before I do not have any experience with neither Coast Rica nor Panama and my Spanish is limited.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
