First trip

My wife and I will be landing on the 11th in panama city and renting a car. The intent is to spend 5 days looking around to see what part of Panama we would like to live. Any ideas on B&Bs would be great. Being on the coast is a must. We have a 45 ft Catamaran we would like to eventually keep in Panama. One question would be, Do we need to plan every night stay prior to getting there or is it easy to wing it once we are there and just drive until we get tired. We heard of a really cool place in Boca Chica So we are thinking to just head that direction. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...
