Hello everyone. This is my first post to this specific forum and im hoping i can get some pro's and con's to the following questions.
I am in the military and am planning on retiring in the next 6 years (long time away still, i know). My wife and I are looking for a place that the cost of living is roughly 1500-2000 a month. Is extremely close to the beach, and is relatively crime free. I know this sounds like a pipe dream, but out of all the research i've done, panama keeps coming up as a very desirable place. Can anyone suggest an area in panama where the lifestyle is relaxed and is close to the beach, and still has a community that is interactive. ex-pat based or not. I'll be looking to purchase a house, and probably start up a small business. Most likely a cozy bar or something like that.
