My wife and I are seriously considering moving to Panama for a year or so and I'm hoping to get some great advice here to help me start our planning.
A little background:
I run an online business that allows me to work from anywhere, we have a 4 year old daughter and 2 large dogs.
The plan for now is to just spend a year living in Panama and then return to Arizona. From what we've read online, we lean towards Coronado.
While I've compiled a lot of information from online sources and plan to visit in the next month or so, I'd love some feedback and advice from the group here.
Types of questions:
1) Best relocation service companies - looking for a company who can help me explore areas on our initial visits, discuss schools, talk banking/insurance, etc.
2) Thoughts on schools in Coronado for pre-schoolers?
3) Renting a home - for a nice home 3 bedroom, solid condition, good for dogs, what kind of monthly cost can I realistically expect with utilities, rent, cable/internet, etc.
4) Speaking of internet - I've read mixed reviews. How reliable is it? Being that I make a living online, this is rather important.
5) Thoughts on cars - do you think we will need one? It seems you don't, but with dogs and a 4 year old, would a car be more convenient?
