Our operator Yuray called me distraught yesterday.
While she was out shopping, her deposito caught fire and her neighbours tried calling the Bomberos. For over an hour they called - and no-one responded. Unfortunately she lives in an area where we do not have very many Panama Helpline members. When Yuray finally got home - she called them, and they arrived immediately but it was too late.
Her water pump, water holding tanks, PVC pipes, and most devastating - all of her husband's mechanical tools were destroyed. Fortunately no-one was injured - but she will need to replace everything, and she cannot afford to. This is her families livelihood.
She would never ask, but I am asking you to help her by donating funds to help her re-build her deposito, replace the mechanical tools and water system.
This is one of the people that takes care of all of us when we need it most - please help her now.
