The other day my wife and I were in Albrook mall and I stepped into a optical shop to look at a new pair of frames. As usual the clerk was standing so close behind me I could feel her breathing down my neck and moving step for step, when I turned around I actually bumped into her .Ihave always wondered is this practice due to the high shoplifting problem or is this more of a cultural thing? Even if I was inclined to steal a pair of glasses that wasn't going to happen as they are all locked in the display rack. I have walked out of many stores because of this practice and they have lost many sales from me while just browsing. It really drives my wife insane. We just don't shop anymore we just purchase what we need and leave. I would appreciate any feed back to this.
