BANK ACCOUNT FOR US RESIDENT

Hello,
new to this forum. Considering moving to Panama in the near future and will be visiting this Summer.
I would like to open a savings account while on my visit there but have a few questions:
1. Will banks there open accounts to US citizens residing in the US ?
2. Will they open to other citizens while on a visit and not residing there?
3. If yes what are the documents required?
4. which are the oldest, secure, serious and highly rated banks there?
