Future Expat to Panama

My wife and I are considering retiring in Panama within the next 2 years. Our monthly income would be $3200. My wife is Cuban and is bi lingual and I am learning Spanish. I am looking for areas close to the beach as well as fitting our budget. We have looked at Boquete and it sounds nice, but living in Florida it is great to have access to a beach.
